Messi celebrates his tenth anniversary in La Liga



Argentine star played his first game in the league against Espanyol, who sought his services on loan.

Thursday will see the next special occasion for the Argentine star Lionel Messi, where it will mark the tenth anniversary of the game's first official league shirt giant Catalans.

In front of Espanyol the sixteenth day of October 2004, Messi came down the pitch for the first time in the Spanish La Liga as a substitute for Portuguese nationality Brazilian-born Deco during the game against Espanyol in the "derby" Catalonia ".
In that game Messi did little, but he drew the attention of officials at Espanyol, who have been watching the evolution of the performance of "Flea" even submitted an offer to sign him on loan with the end of the season with the aid of a recommendation from the coach age groups then Josep Manel Casanova.

Messi stayed in the ranks of Barcelona, and once preparations started for the new season, he got his chance, but gave a great performance in the Joan Gamper Cup match against Juventus in "Camp Nou".
Since then, Messi's life changed in a way  did not expected by anyone.
