The Government of the City of Buenos Aires for an agreement
with the Argentine striker Lionel Messi in order to assume the position of
ambassador to the Olympic Games for youth, which is scheduled to be held in the
capital of Argentina in 2018.
Moreover (Leo Messi) Foundation will to organize social
events for the benefit of children and adolescents in Buenos Aires, through
sports activities, as the capital of the Argentine government announced on
Thursday evening.
The head of the Government of the Argentine capital (the
mayor) Mauricio Macri: "It is an honor for us that we the population of
Buenos Aires have Messi in our team, in order to spread the values of sport
and social development among youth, and to promote the cycle of youth Olympics
in 2018."
And the (Leo Messi) foundation will guide contribution that
may be obtained from the Government of Buenos Aires, the whole of the
activities of social development, half of which will be held in the Argentine
capital.
Macri added that "Messi is universal symbol, and the
model on a personal level and sports. It is a Wonderful mirror for
consideration by the young people and stand to benefit."
It is noteworthy that the contract assume Messi the post of
ambassador Youth Olympic Games would be in effect for two years and can be
renewed for another two years with the consent of both parties.
